" Please support my fundraising campaign. "

This Campaign must reach the funding target of 800 GBP by 6.09am on 21.07.2012, BST for it to be successful.

Find out more about how ZEQUS works for supporters.

We are a collective of fifteen, soon to be graduates of the Fine Art BA Hons course at Falmouth University College, and have come together to exhibit our work in August 2012 in the vibrant Shoreditch area of London. We feel this creative hub is a perfect place in which to showcase our work and propel us into the professional art world. The Capital will give us a wider audience than we may receive in Cornwall, and with the dates coinciding with the Olympics, we hope to attract the largest possible audience.

Our work is an eclectic mix; with investigations into painting and print, appropriation, animation, sculpture and drawing. The varying emphasis on concept and aesthetics makes the group representative of the exciting range of contemporary artwork being produced at Cornwall's renowned art school. This is our first exhibition post degree, and we have chosen the name ‘Pause’ as we feel it reflects where we are; contemplating making art after university.

We are asking for your support in helping us put together the best exhibition we can.  With the benefits of exhibition in London, also comes the vast costs.  The gallery space alone will cost £3600 and with setup costs, exhibition provisions, transport and storage of our work, plus the advertising and media, we are left with a pretty massive bill!  As we reach the end of our course and our pockets have been stripped bare, we would really appreciate your donations in easing the strain.

Thank you so much for your support.  Any amount of money would make a world of difference and we would be so grateful for any contribution in helping us reach our goal!  The pledge rewards will vary between abstract and figurative drawing and printmaking and will be made by either Charlotte, Abi, Ed, Becky, Sophie or Lizz.  Just let us know by email what type of work you would like (drawing or screen print, for example) and we'll do the rest!

Update #6

21st Jul 2012By Charlotte Bownass
Hi everyone, We've come to the end of our fundraising period and I'm pleased to say we've exceeded our goal by £420! None of this would have been possible without you, the backers, so on behalf of the whole group THANK YOU! Your pledges will be arriving in the post in the coming weeks. Things are getting frantic in the run up to the show but it will be our top priority once everything is over and done with. In the mean time, please come down and check out the fruits of your donations! Our show runs from the 5th-8th August at Blackall Studios, with the private view on the 4th August 6-9pm. Look forward to seeing you there! Thanks again! Michael

Update #5

16th Jul 2012By Charlotte Bownass

Hello everyone!

Only a few days left to fundraise, and despite the official target having been met a while ago, we are still in great need of donations!  While some outgoings have been less than we anticipated, others have been far more!  Staffing for the venue, a new photographer and a push in advertising have really stretched our budget.  These aren't unnecessary luxuries and we need around another £500 to cover these costs!  I must stress that the donations so far have proved invaluable to us, and if we hadn't created this page then the exhibition literally wouldn't have been possible. But anyone who has been on the fence about donating due to the target being reached please reconsider your position!!

Thank you very much,

Update #4

3rd Jul 2012By Charlotte Bownass

Just under a month to go until our exhibition!!  Michael, Mike and I have successfully transported all the artwork to a storage space in London by minibus, and so all thats left now is the advertising before we set up on the 2nd!  A video should be coming soon that Mike has made, documenting our extreme Falmouth to London journey.  Although spending 15 hours in a mini bus traveling at 60mph doesn't sound like an interesting subject for a film, it really is.

Thank you to our most recent donators for ignoring the met target and still giving!  You will be very well rewarded.

Update #3

19th Jun 2012By Charlotte Bownass

Thank you so, so much to all that have pledged money so far!   The response we've had has been terrific and we have managed to hit our target in only a week of going live!  We couldn't have wished for more.  To all those who wished to donate but haven't yet, your generosity would still be greatly appreciated.  Despite the official target being met, this figure is only a small portion of our overall budget and any extra funding would be of great help to us.

Thank you again to all backers for your support in helping us reach the £800 figure!  You're all amazing.
